Power Grip P P Danline Ropes

Do you know the exponential growth of plastic usage is threatening the survival of this planet? Sadly, plastic usage is inescapable sometimes, particularly when it comes to food packaging. Using plastic bottles or plastic food containers is quite common in everyday life. But, have you ever thought about the products' components and its effects on the environment and your body?

When you glance at the bottom of your food container or water bottle, you will see a number printed on plastic. This number is crucial for understanding the type of plastic you're using and whether it is safe to use or not. Experts believe that one of the most significant parts of dealing with plastics is having a familiarity about the different types of plastic and knowing which of the varieties are safe to use.

Check out the top varieties of plastic which are safe both for the body and the environment.

3 Varieties Of Plastic Containers You Should Use For A Healthy Living

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

Also known as PET or PETE, polyethylene terephthalate is denoted by number 1 on plastic. Typically clear in colour, PET is one of the most easy-to-recycle plastic varieties. It is commonly used for soda or water bottles, peanut butter jars or detergent containers. Currently, this plastic is relatively safe to use since there are no known environmental concerns or health issues associated with it.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

High-density polyethylene or HDPE is another safe, frequently used plastic container just like PET. Generally opaque in colour, HDPE plastic containers are very safe and are not known to transmit chemicals into drinks or food. This plastic variety is most often used for water or milk jugs, shampoo bottles and laundry detergent container. HDPE containers are either recycled into new containers or converted into plastic toys, pipes or ropes.

Polypropylene (PP)

Polypropylene or PP is another safe plastic you can use for a healthy living. PP containers do not leak harmful chemicals into liquids and food and are not yet known to be related to any health issues. Characteristically, PP plastic is transparent in colour and boasts of a high melting point. Denoted by type 5 plastic, it is used for making cream cheese containers, maple syrup bottles, yoghurt containers, and prescription bottles.

So what are you still here for? It's time to ensure a healthy living by switching to safe plastics!
